Florence Griffith Joyner Mosaic Mural

The Florence Griffith Joyner Mosaic Mural was created by the Rainforest Art Project for Joyner Elementary School to honor the iconic olympic athlete for which the school is named. Production was overseen by Lead Artist Vanessa Machin and completed 2021. 329 students ranging for 1st-5th grade were involved in the design and production of this artwork. The jaguar shadow recalls the schools mascot and symbolizes Joyner’s strength, courage, passion and spirit.
